Kristy is a medical malpractice defense paralegal at Mitchell & Simopoulos. Prior to joining the firm, she worked for several years at a private practice law firm as a paralegal in the medical malpractice, vaccine, and federal tort divisions. Preceding that, she worked as a malpractice defense paralegal in the largest law firm in southeastern Virginia.

Kristy brings to the firm her vast experience working with physicians and health care providers in their defense in Virginia and Maryland. She also has worked with a wide range of plaintiffs all over the nation in federal court. In addition, Kristy has experience assisting attorneys and health care organizations in certificate of public need matters before the Virginia Department of Health.

Kristy obtained her bachelor’s degree from Virginia Wesleyan College in 2006, and subsequently obtained her paralegal certificate from Old Dominion University. She is a member of the Tidewater Paralegal Association and The National Association of Legal Assistants. She enjoys supporting the attorneys during the litigation process and helping to obtain a positive result for the clients. She gives back to the community through her philanthropy work with The NobleWomen. In her free time, she loves going to the beach, crafting, and spending time with her dog, friends and family.
